RISA Floor is an application for designing and modeling multi-story commercial and institutional buildings. Buildings are modeled on a floor-by-floor basis, and the floors are stacked atop each other to create the entire building structure. Buildings may be comprised of many different materials, including hot rolled and cold formed steel, wood, concrete, steel joists, and wood joists.
RISA Foundation is a foundation analysis and designing program. It has been developed to make the solution, definition, and modification of foundation models as fast and easy as possible. Analysis, up to and including calculation of maximum deflections and stresses, may be done on spread slabs, spread footings, and grade beams. Complete reinforcement detailing is also included in the program.
LIMITATIONS
RISA-3D does do pushover analysis.
FUTUTR SCOPE
If you go to any company that does structural engineering, they will expect you to use one of the more common Civil Engineering programs. RISA -3D and STAAD.pro are the two most common. They already have the sizes of common beams built into the program. They can also ignore the beam size you selected and put in a smaller beam on a plane. This helps you use the smallest size possible. You will also need to use software like AutoCAD, Ansys, Solidworks.
